Multiplication is adding the same number a certain amount of times

The multiplication symbol is the multiplication (×) sign.

The answer to a multiplication problem is the product.

How to Multiply

To multiply a number, you add the number to itself a specific amount of times.

Example:

5×3 is 5+5+5
and
10×7 is 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10

Times Table

Since adding numbers over and over again is a long process, it is easier to memorize the following table.
